Mr. Brace joined Knox during the 2023-2024 school year as our Safety Coordinator, after a 30-year career in public safety as a Firefighter, EMT, and Police Officer. For the 2024-2025 school year his duties were expanded to include teaching Algebra I, CPR and First Aid, and archery, as he is a certified NASP Archery Instructor. He received his Associate’s Degree from Portland Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University. Mr. Brace has enjoyed teaching adults as a training officer and as an assistant professor at a community college teaching Fire Science and EMT classes. He is married with four children, with the eldest currently serving in the Marine Corps.
