Our Mission

Knox Classical Academy is committed to supporting families in the instruction of their children using a classical model of education with a Christian worldview. Our mission is to equip students to think and act biblically, to obey God, and to lead and serve others.

What is Classical Education?

Developed during the Middle Ages by the Christian Church, and used in Europe and America until the mid-twentieth century, Classical Christian education focuses upon developing virtue and cultivating healthy children into healthy citizens. This process begins with piety.

Students at Knox will be immersed into the great conversations that formed and informed Western Civilization. They will know Latin, logic, music, rhetoric, and history. They will build friendships and culture

around them that will strengthen the lessons they are learning. Through folk dance and feasts, debate and discovery, gymnastics and geometry, students gain invaluable life experience that will form their humanity and guide them into healthy citizenship.

We truly are repairing the ruins that have been left to us. Education, with an American and Christian paideia as its goal, is an essential part of this process. At Knox Academy we are taking active steps toward remembering and reclaiming this paideia.
